Debbie has over 16 years of teaching experience and holds a master's degree in liberal studies from Skidmore College.

Debbie grew up in Tennessee and Texas but is very happy to currently be living in Vermont. Recently, she began a second career as a certified tour director and co-editor of a small education webzine.

Besides reading, Debbie's hobbies include travel, visiting museums, writing, films, cooking and gardening. She has two grown children, Amelia and Gabriel, and too many pets.
