After a childhood fighting lions in the Coliseum, Chuck was able to escape to Norway. Once there, he helped develop the sport of skiing before moving to Austria in the early 20th century to form a secret council to control the outcome of ski competitions.

He is now one of the few representatives of that shadowy organization in the United States.

Sean Graves

Sean Graves
Head U16 Coach
I have been working in the ski industry for the last twenty six years.  I starting out teaching at a little ski area called Crotched Mt in NH in 1986.   When they went bankrupt I moved over to Magic Mt in Londonderry VT and was there for two years until they closed their doors.  Okemo was my next stop, spending about seven years as an instructor there.  As my tenure at Okemo ended, I graduated college and working full time in the industry ended.  As the full time industry job ended, the real world job of a high school teacher started. This led me across Route 131 to Ascutney Mountain Resort where I spent the next twelve years.  While there, I was the Director of the Children’s program called Young Olympians.  Both of my children learned to ski there and it was pretty much home for our family.  I also re-started my “racing career” at Ascutney.
Getting the opportunity to runs gates occasionally sparked my interested to get back into it.  I started racing at Pat’s Peak in their corporate league.  Soon I was racing three nights a week and was still working weekends and holidays.  When Ascutney closed we looked around for a place to hang our hats next.  I came to Woodstock and took one look at S6 and realized that this would be a great training hill for the kids!  After meeting all of the people involved with the Ski Runner’s club, we realized that this would be an awesome experience for our kids.  It was this year which our family out grew S6 and Tanner needed more time on snow to pursue his ski racing passion.  We came to the KSC/KMS Development Program via Killington Mountain School.  I am thrilled to be coaching at Killington and looking forward to many more seasons.  During the week I race out of Pat’s Peak and Granite Gorge in NH.  I also help coach the Keene High Ski Team and to adult race training at Granite Gorge.

Chris Jablonski

Chris Jablonski
U16 Coach
I started skiing at age 3. I was taught by my grandfather who was a ski jumper in the 1940s. I grew up skiing mainly at Cannon Mountain with my family and I raced for my high school.  I coached for 6 years at Ski Ward and Wachusett in MA before coming up to Killington last year where I received my Level 100 certification.  My favorite trails at Killington are Big Dipper and Devil's Fiddle after a dumping. Being 5'8 I look up to pretty much every skier. But I am currently most impressed with Lindsey.  It took a lot of courage, determination, hard work and believing in herself to come back from the injury she had. I am always most impressed with people who get knocked down and find ways to come back stronger. Great inspiration and a great life lesson.

Kelly grew up skiing in New Hampshire and Vermont and fell in love with ski racing.  After completing high school, Kelly attended the University of Vermont where she began her career working with young athletes at Stowe Mountain Resort.  Kelly then transitioned to Killington for a year to work for the Hopeful's program.
Craving a new adventure, she moved to Colorado and became involved with Ski and Snowboard Club Vail.  During the five years she spent there, Kelly ran their Future Stars Gravity program leading eight coaches and 65 athletes as they played in the powder, worked to become fundamentally sound skiers and decided which discipline they wanted to pursue as they moved forward with the club.
After five years, it was time to return back to the east coast to be closer to family.  It was an easy decision to return to Killington, where she joined the U8/U10 coaching team.

He has coached in outdoor education and ski racing at club and University level since the early nineties, most recently at Butternut Basin in Massachusetts.  Christian and his wife Fiona, along with their children Beatrix and Dominic, live in Connecticut, where he works as an engineer in the photonics industry.
