At Killington Mountain School, student-athletes learn time management, independence and initiative through a rigorous daily schedule. This schedule creates a healthy balance for the students between school, sports, family and friends.
Approximately 70 student-athletes:
>> 45 alpine, 20 freestyle/freeride, 4 snowboard, 3 cyclists
>> 1/3 boarding, 2/3 day
>> 1/3 females, 2/3 males
>> Hail from all over the East Coast (Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia) and from all over the world (two student-athletes from Australia in 2012-13)
>> Fully approved Vermont independent school serving grades 6-12 with additional offerings for post-graduate student-athletes
>> Focused academic programs provide students with instruction and support alongside high-level athletics
>> Maximum 4:1 student-teacher ratio allows students to focus and collaborate in intimate academic settings
>> Maximum 6:1 student-coach ratio allows athletes individualized coaching and management programs |
