Rhonda has been working in a professional kitchen for 20 years. She started working in a kitchen when she was 13 as a dishwasher/prep cook and slowly worked her way through the ranks. While in high school she also attended River Valley Technical School and graduated top at the top of her class (Culinarian of the Year). Rhonda then went on to attend Southern New Hampshire University and received a Associate's Degree in Applied Science, continuing on for two more years of Food and Beverage Management.
After graduating college, Rhonda returned to Vermont and worked at the Birch Ridge Inn for several years before moving to Newport, RI and working for the #1 catering company in New England, providing the food for weddings and functions varying in size from 10-30,000 people.
She moved on to be the Sous Chef at the Coast Guard House in Narragansett, RI for a several years before returning home to VT to be closer to her family. She has been at KMS for five years, and heads up the Nutrition program at the school, at times collaborating with the Nutritionist and the Executive Chef at the Olympic Training Camp in Lake Placid, NY.
Rhonda is currently raising her daughter and lives in Weathersfield VT, She loves the outdoors, including hiking, fishing, hunting, mushroom foraging, and 4 wheeling. |
