Jeff hails from New Hampshire, and was originally an alpine ski racer. He made the switch to snowboarding when he was 15 years old and hasn’t looked back. Jeff has a long background in snowboarding competition, both as an athlete and coach. He has coached athletes up through the Nor-AM, Revolution Tour, and USASA National levels, and is himself an accomplished snowboard and cycling competitor.
Jeff's professional background includes both Head Competition Coach and Snowsports Director duties. An assistant snowboarding coach at Holderness School for two years, Jeff became the head alpine and boardercross snowboard coach at Loon Mountain in 2008. Most recently, Jeff was the Director of Guest Services for Ragged Mountain Resort, NH where he oversaw multiple operations including Learning Center and Terrain Parks. His passion for coaching outweighed a corporate trajectory, and he was eager to get back out on the hill with aspiring young snowboard competitors. He joined the Killington Mountain School family in 2014.
Jeff was part of the first group of coaches to be awarded the USSA Level 300 coaching endorsement for SnowboardCross. He is also an AASI Certified Instructor-Level I in Freestyle, and as a competitor qualified for the USASA Nationals in the Men’s Open-Class boardercross division. |
