This is our classic glacier camp that has been providing athletes with the best on-snow freeskiing and mogul training for years. We offer two camps with different lengths and different focuses to suit the needs of our campers. There will be a full mogul course, on the Planet Ski International Lane, for optimum daily freestyle training, while the freeskiing and snowboarding group will train in the Camp of Champions lane.
Camp 1
Camp 1 is an eight-day freeride and mogul camp with six days on snow. A full mogul course and slopestyle course provide excellent training for experienced athletes. Camp 1 also offers special opportunities for our very youngest campers. For younger athletes planning a first summer training experience, this camp is a great place to start. There are lots of younger athletes at similar levels to train with, age-appropriate activities for both the older and younger athletes and plenty of supervision.
Camp 2
Camp 2 is a 16-day camp with 12 days on snow — a four-days-on, one-day-off rotation. There will be a full mogul course, on the Planet Ski International Lane, for optimum daily freestyle training. The freeskiing and snowboarding group will train in the Camp of Champions lane. This camp is ideal for the experienced athlete looking to make serious gains with summer training. The training venues are maintained to perfection and the atmosphere is intense. If you want to step up your game, this is the camp!
Lodging
The Aspens on Blackcomb is a premier resort close to the bottom of the Wizard chairlift. Campers share spacious two-bedroom condos, typically with four people in a unit, allowing plenty of comfort for rest and recuperation after a day on the glacier. The Aspens on Blackcomb's heated pool and hot tub area is a favorite for campers to catch up with others for a little health club apres glacier ski. (Be sure to request to room with your friends when you sign up for camp! )
Meals
Three meals on all training days are included each session of camp (meals are not provided on the travel days or the off-snow days). Breakfast is buffet-style at Merlins, located right at the base of the lift before the ride up. Lunch is bag lunch campers bring right up to the glacier (it is a camp favorite) For dinner, we dine around the food-famous Whistler village where we have developed relationships with several top eating establishments who offer us specials that ensure a delicious and nutritious meal each evening. Our condos have excellent kitchens that athletes can use to prepare snacks or meals on the off days.
